Passion Project
This is my hobby side project built with love and dedication in my spare time.
No Servers
Initially building everything to run locally on the users device made the build more difficult, but, it gave the huge benefit of everything staying on your computer (other than just your login information). This is great because the information you need to use to give great groups and classes is often sensitive. And you can be assured all this data stays locally on your device.
Local Computation
The second benefit to running everything local on your PC is all computation is performed locally, eliminating all cloud computing costs.
Nobody Got Time For That
As Kimberly Wilkins said in 2012, 'Ain't nobody got time for that'. Adding billing means I'd have to code up integration with a payments processor, handle taxes, offer customer service plus so much more. Lucky for you and me, none of that sounds appealing at all. So offering this for free works best for everyone.
